The layout Plenty of storage with strapping at the front then a half seat (would be ideal for taking your son out but on both occasions I paddled it a pool of water formed in the recess so perhaps the better half would not be so impressed its a pity there is not a scupper hole here) mid yak there is a large square hatch secured by 4 locking handles but with no fixed attachment to the yak I would pimp a couple of stainless hinges on the front or a chord to make sure its not lost at sea,inside is a useful plastic box almost the size of the hatch (for sandwiches or live bait tank ?)& plenty if room & capacity to take tents etc etc for camping out a while.Large tank well at the rear of the yak though unlike the dry main section it does take in some water through the scuppers so if it needs to be kept away from the briny use waterproof containers
