The buckle has light wear overall but is still in good shape with a lovely patina, though one side of the belt loop bar is broken off, so the buckle is now very fragile. The belt it is connected to is extremely fragile as well, likely dating to the early 1850s. We are not going to attempt to remove the buckle due to
