These were originally issued before the Great War and were designed to be for use with the Mannlicher Berthier Infantry Rifles. It is a somewhat standard sword type bayonet, with a single edged fullered blade. The pommel design however is definitely somewhat unique, designed for a bayonet lug that fits into a round hole in the pommel of the bayonet. This is an example of the second pattern, which has rivet retaining
