This is a very nice service used example of a Korean War Era U. S. Marine Corps Issue M1 Helmet, as used during the Korean War Era and into the early Vietnam Conflict. The shell looks to be a standard Korean war issue or possibly late WWII, and has swivel bales and a manganese steel rim with a rear seam. It is fitted with a correct Korean war style chin strap, which uses bent metal brackets to attach to the "bales",
