This is a beautiful example of the rare WWII Vehicle Scabbard for the U. S. M1 Carbine that is in a remarkable state of preservation. It is U. S. marked, manufactured by Schell Leather Goods Company, Inc. and dated 1943. The scabbard appears to have never been lightly used, the leather is still light tan throughout and the deep black finish is still present on all metal parts. The inside of the charging handle sleeve
