Emma Bridgewater Lily Of The Valley Small Old Bowl mothersday This impressive Royal Scot CrystalLily of the valley is associated with spring, renewal and luck. The reason why is said to be because King Charles IX of France was given a lily of the valley plant on 1st May in 1561 to bring him luck. Being of a superstitious nature, he decided to give a plant to the ladies of his court every year on that day. The French continue to present lily of the valley nosegays as gifts on 1st May; its a public holiday known as La Fte du Muguet. Emma
