Hibiscus tiliaceus ‘Rubra’ (Sea Hibiscus / Coastal Hibiscus) Pot Size:200mm a warm south-facing wall mayHibiscus tiliaceus Rubra is a striking evergreen tree or large shrub valued for its dramatic foliage and colour changing flowers. Native to coastal regions, this variety is particularly admired for its deep red, heart shaped leaves, which provide bold colour contrast throughout the year. The large hibiscus flowers open bright yellow with a deep crimson centre, then gradually darken through orange to rich red over the course of the day before falling.
