Lion's Tail Prunus salicina 'Satsuma' and glossyGrown for their showy whorls of deep orange fuzzy tubular flowers resembling fur, Lion's Tail is an upright, fast growing, evergreen tropical shrub with aromatic, narrow, toothed leaves in pairs on hairy, square stems. Often treated as a perennial, the woody base produces branches of many erect herbaceous stems that respond well to pruning and will resprout new growth from hardened wood.
