This is a genuine Federal issue leather cartridge box is the Pattern 1861 pattern . 58 Caliber. Outer flap has light surface wear with a latch tab that is attached by straight line stitching and a copper rivet. Interior flap is in decent shape and is complete with both ears. There is a Condict Newark makers mark in an elongated oval on the flap edge. Both tins are present inside the box as is the implement pocket.
