glass is melted in a furnace and then combined with a coloring agent to produce the swirling inclusions of pink within the clear material

there may not be a more beautiful blue-and-brown combination than that of Terra Agate

Larimar with Matrix 8mm Round Beads - 15-16 Inch 5x8mm Phillipine RosewoodLarimar is a translucent blue, turquoise and white stone that can have streaks and patterns of white, as well as red or brown either from oxidation or Hematite inclusions. It is a rare variety of Pectolite, found only in the Dominican Republic. Copper within the Pectolite creates the beautiful blue and turquoise colors in the stone. The blue colors are photosensitive and may fade when exposed to excessive light or heat.
