This is a rough overall example of an early Indian War Model 1872 U. S. Army Regulation Kepi worn by a member or officer of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. This U. S. Army Model 1872 Kepi features fabric of dark blue wool broadcloth, with a painted leather visor, bullion rope chinstrap, with brown polished cotton lining in the crown. The leather visor is missing much of its stitching and is a bit
