This is a very nice service used armband from the Baden Jugendwehr (Baden Youth Defense Force), as issued to youth helpers during WWI. It is of multi piece construction, with black, white, and red fabric stitched together, and Bad. Jugendwehr is printed on the central white stripe. These youth units were in many ways predecessors to the HJ National Youth organization, as they continued post war into the Weimar
