n1905 - Square Back & Goethite Coating Shangaan Amethyst A very beautiful polished septarianAn outstanding natural uncleaned quartz crystal cluster from Arkansas that has a square back bottom. This cluster formed on top of a single calcite crystal which later weathered out leaving a large square cavity on the bottom. This beauty has a gold yellow iron oxide coating and a small amount of black botryoidal goethite. There is one broken point that is coated over in the front center and a point missing from the back edge. Stands up on its own.
