The lid of the case has kanji translating to Type 98 Ground Location Aircraft Periscope Box No. 438. The end of the periscope is also marked No. 438, making this a great matching set. The box measures 19 x 3 x 5 and retains the canvas carrying strap. The small leather strap which secures the case shut
