which unfortunately makes it difficult to accurately photograph due to reflections

It may have been made from an older imperial or Weimar period flag

This is a very good condition SA Sports Badge in Gold Grade, the highest grade awarded. It looks to be manufactured from stamped brass, which was then covered with a gold wash, which may be brass powder paint. It is maker marked on the back by L. CHR. Lauer NRNBERG BERLIN on the arms of the swas. The badge has a very nice intact pin back showing just a bit of bending, under which is the following marking: EIGENTUM D.
