This is a very scarce USMC uniform from the Spanish American War era, a Model 1898 Khaki tropical uniform tunic. This Uniform dates from the 1898 1904 period, and was first fielded by Marines in Cuba during the Spanish American War. This has features of an early coat such as the small pocket flaps and early brass domed buttons (all marked HORSTMANN & CO of Philadelphia). The tunic has a written name on the interior
