This is a very rare totally original CRAIGHEAD of DENVER, CO marked M1916 holster in very nice condition russet brown leather. It is embossed U S on the flap, and U. S. on the back above the maker mark, indicating that this was a military issue holster. No major damage to the leather, all stitches still intact, all brass parts still present with a bit of verdigris. Just perfect for a high grade WWII issue 1911 . 45
