Description

generously perfumed finish

amazingly soft for a young Hermitage

Best after 2023

yet all the elements are wonderfully in balance

The 2010s are probably going through a difficult phase at the moment

Alban Vineyards, Patrina Alban Estate Syrah Vintage:2008 generously perfumed finishMoving to the reds, the 2019 Patrina offers lots of smoky red and black fruits as well as violets, pepper, and graphite notes. It's forward, charming, textured, and balanced, with plenty of classic Alban character. I'd be happy to drink it.
