but in 2000 the fruit has enough intensity to nearly cover the tannins

(this has some young vines 1ers added to a blend of 90% Basses Maizières and 10% Les Vigneux)

The palate mixes that chalky minerality with the juiciness of the Garnacha

and gains depth on the palate as licorice

Antoine Jobard, Meursault Charmes Vintage:2019 but in 2000 the fruit(from a small . 17 ha parcel situated directly below Perrires that was planted in 1963). Reduction and wood toast make for a pungent combination. By contrast there is a highly seductive mouth feel to the pure and transparent middle weight flavors that exhibit much more minerality, all wrapped in a chiseled, intense and beautifully long and complex finale. Lovely stuff and in particular I like the sense of harmony here. (91 94) 2022+
