serious and youthfully austere finish

Here the cool and highly restrained nose is both more densely fruited and a bit more complex as well if a bit less elegant because like the Mazoyères this is clearly Gevrey in basic character

with a long

It's a simpler wine but balanced and I would say best drunk now

Luigi Oddero, Barolo Rocche Rivera Size:6x750ml serious and youthfully austere finishThe 2014 Barolo Rocche Rivera(from the Scarrone cru) packs a serious punch in its deceptively midweight frame. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, hard candy, wild flowers and mint make a strong first impression before the firm 2014 Nebbiolo tannins kick in. Today, the Rocche Rivera is a bit rough around the edges and a touch wild, but it is certainly not lacking in personality. Antonio Galloni
