with a honeyed quince character
An airy red pinot fruit nose nuanced by a lovely mix of game
(a little known 1er that sits directly above Chambertin-Clos de Bèze made from vines planted in 1973)
The lilting and lacy medium weight flavors possess a refined mouth feel on the mineral-driven flavors that are almost delicate while terminating in a restrained and lingering finish
it should be an enjoyable white Bordeaux to drink over the next 10-12 years
Henri Bonneau, Chateauneuf Du Pape Reserve Celestins other_regions with a honeyed quince characterMedium bodied and quite forward for Bonneau Celestins, the wine is perhaps more interesting on the nose with its blast of garrigue, kirsch and thyme scented perfume. Soft, open and fruity, with a hint of black pepper in the cherry centric, earthy finish, this is already in its prime time drinking window. This is a nice Chateauneuf, but not a great vintage for Celestins.
