Fontodi, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Sorbo Vintage:2012 so they had to do

so they had to do a very soft vinification and an extended élevage

When it comes to production methods

The racy and intense middle weight flavors possess evident muscle and minerality before concluding in a nicely complex if mildly warm and drying finish

olive paste and exotic spices show outstanding clarity and lift

it needs another 5 years or so in the cellar

Fontodi, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Sorbo Vintage:2012 so they had to doJust as it was last year, the 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo is magnificent. Dark, brooding and reticent, the 2016 is not ready to show all it's got. If anything, the 2016 is even more reticent than it was last year at this time. Vigna del Sorbo has a great track record for aging. I have no doubt the 2016 will blossom in bottle, but that is not going to happen anytime soon. Antonio Galloni
