The palate is a snowball rolling over fruits

refreshing Spritzer made from a base of Chardonnay and Mourvedre wine and lemon

Farming this carefully lets him pick genuinely ripe fruit

thoughtful Champagne with bracing acidity and no added sulfites

while the palate bounces with mixed red berries

Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Rouge En Clemengeots 2022 052626OFFER The palate is a snowballEn Clemengeots is a tiny single parcel in the commune of Couchey, an enclave within the prized Champ Salomon lieu dit, planted in 1951 on argilo calcareous soil with limestone outcrops. Sylvain Pataille works the site biodynamically and ferments with 50 percent whole clusters before 18 months in barrel with 15 percent new oak. The wine carries a marine inflection that's distinctive in his lineup, a saline edge to its red fruit, violet, and sweet spice
