but pleasant in a one-dimensional

but David Powell delivers some remarkable reds and whites at prices that are more than fair for the quality in the bottle

the azure backdrop at its purest on this

This has the legs to age well over the medium to even longer-term but should drink reasonably well young if desired

Joseph Voillot, Volnay Fremiets Vintage:2016 but pleasant in a one-dimensional(from vines that average 50+ years of age). Subtle but not invisible wood frames the pungently earthy aromas of ripe red berries, earth and an interesting array of spice and dried orange peel nuances. There is good vibrancy to the sleek and mineral inflected flavors that possess a really lovely mouth feel, all wrapped in a dusty, serious, well balanced and lingering finish where the wood telegraphed by the nose resurfaces. 91 2023+
