Scarpa Barbera d'Asti Casascapa 2021 Reasonable Cellar The winemaking is deliberately restrained:Scarpa's Casascapa Barbera crackles with vervea zingy expression of what makes this varietal so irresistible. Tart cranberry and sour cherry mingle with purple flowers and wild herbs on the nose, while the palate bounces with mixed red berries, savory spice, and crushed stone. Fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve its energetic acidity, this Barbera proves Scarpa's mastery of Barbera d'Asticomplex, long lived, and endlessly food friendly.
