Following hot on the heels of the first, mid sixties generation of Japanese free jazz players like Kaoru Abe, Masayuki Takayanagi, Ysuke Yamashita, Motoharu Yoshizawa, etc., an exciting second wave of younger players began to emerge in the seventies.
