Hope and Glory Christopher Guest There he encounters the otherworldlyDirector John Boorman takes a look back at the London Blitz of World War II, as seen through the eyes of a child, in this haunting, semi autobiographical seriocomedy. Young Bill Rohan (Sebastian Rice Edwards) is the boy who views the war particularly the nightly air raids on his suburban neighborhood not as a time of great conflict and bloodshed, but rather as a grand adventure. With Sarah Miles, Sammi Davis, Ian Bannen, David Hayman, Geraldine Muir.
