The Brunate is all about length
this is much more deeply pitched on the nose with game
but is solid
This should be excellent in time
The 2004 is intense
de Montille, Pommard Cras Size:6x750ml The Brunate is all about(from ~80 year old vines; 33% whole clusters). A mildly fruity nose is cut with plenty of freshly turned earth and more discreet floral wisps. The brooding, intense and muscular flavors possess very fine volume as well as a discreet minerality that continues onto the serious, persistent and balanced if decidedly rustic finish. This borderline old school effort is sufficiently firmly structured to suggest that all of a decade will be necessary for it
