There is good richness to the supple
There is a sophisticated mid-palate mouth feel to the broad-shouldered flavors that display excellent power and plenty of salinity on the impressively long finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth
The tannic power of the wine is also contained
which fermented with 18% full clusters in open vats after a cold soak and had a 20-day maceration
firm and tension-filled medium weight flavors possess a lovely texture on the very dry
Casa, Lapostolle Vintage:2017 There is good richness toI found the new and ambitious 2015 La Parcelle 8 very ripe, playing with over ripeness. Perhaps it's the combination of centenary vines and a warm and dry year that delivered very ripe and concentrated juice, and the wine hits the scale at 15% alcohol, with plenty of tannins. It reminds me of the wines from yesteryear, lacking today's freshness and balance. It matured in 100% new French oak barrels for 26 months. Will it ever absorb the oak? 15,660
