cedar wood
I like the balance as well as the well-integrated structure that should enable this to offer 7 to 9 years of improvement
The pH is 3
A lovely interplay of those peach & quince flavours with enlivening citrus repertoire
There is even better vibrancy to the detailed and stony middle weight flavors that also possess good depth and persistence on the finish that flashes a similar hint of sweetness
Giuseppe Mascarello, Barolo Santo Stefano di Perno Size:12x750ml cedar woodGood deep red. Ripe but distinctly wild nose hints at strawberry and musky roast coffee. Then a bit lower pitched in the mouth than the Villero and much more tannic on the back end. A somewhat rustic leathery element currently dominates underlying fruit. I'm not wild for the oak treatment here, which gives the finish a dry edge. Stephen Tanzer
