Storm, Vrede Chardonnay Size:6x750ml I did have a chance

I did have a chance to re-taste samples of the same wines from 2009 and was left with a fabulous impression (that confirms the high scores I gave last year)

It is “stacked and packed

but also has deceptive grip for cellaring

this keeps coming at you

medium-bodied flavors possess very good concentration

Storm, Vrede Chardonnay Size:6x750ml I did have a chanceThe 2023 Chardonnay Vrede is raised in 32% new oak, with the wine going 75% through malo. This has a fragrant bouquet with orange blossom, citrus fruit and light stony scents. Very good definition and focus. The palate is very well balanced and side by side this has more nervosit and mineralit. Precise and focused on the finish with plenty of sapidity, this is an excellent Chardonnay from Hannes Storm.
