For centuries the village grew far more Pinot Noir than Chardonnay, and it was the global thirst for white Burgundy, not any failure of the reds, that flipped the ratio. Ramonet never abandoned them, and La Boudriotte, at the southern end of the appellation up against Morgeot, is the site that best explains why. This is 2021, a cold, frost thinned year that produced almost nothing but rewarded growers who
